Disease Physiology
This is a layman's description (i.e. not for the medical professional) of the physiology underlying common diseases. The leading cause of death is heart disease, followed by cancer, chronic respirator disease, and neurologic disorders. There are a number of secondary diseases that lead to heart disease. The two most common are diabetes and atherosclerosis. This simple layman's guide is intended to provide a basic understanding of the physiologic processes that underlie these common diseases.
